What ad did you see or read that was all about the product and not you? The person who wrote the ad was only focused on selling the product and never learned that its not about him or the product but about the person you want to purchase your product.

Mike worked at a fortune 500 company and decided he would leave the company and create his own product. He felt that he could make more money if he made his own product and marketed himself since he was an expert at advertising. Mike figured out that it was more about the ad than the actual product he was selling.
Mike knew that if he forgot about his ego and focused on his readers ego he could get RICH!
Marketers and inventors are so concerned about making a sell that they write what they think they would like to read. There is a big difference in selling a person with text than it is face to face. Words are very important and they must strike an emotional connection with your reader.
There is an ancient truth and that is People do things for selfish reasons. If you are able to appeal to their egos, they will do what you want.
When you start to write an ad you should have an image of the person you would like to purchase your product. What benefits would they get from using your product? Is there a particular problem your product will solve for them. You must answer all the questions you think they might ask about your product to make the sale.
Write your advertisements from the customer's standpoint. Get out of your ego and focus on theirs.
